Computing for adults in the community

The Warrnambool PC Group was formed in 1994 with a small group with the purpose of helping each other to understand computers and quickly grew. The group is now known as the Warrnambool Computer Group Inc. Over the years the concept has changed in that the primary goal now is to help and educate adults who did not grow up with computers.
The majority of members are either those who's children have said "Here is my old computer for you to learn on", or those who have decided that they want to try to keep up with the changing computer world.

The club has approx 40 members and a typical night covers a wide variety of subjects ranging from the simple to the complex. The night begins with questions and answers. Two laptops, screen and projector are used on the night to do the presentations and also to provide answers to question. Internet is also available to download necessary information. We have all window systems running, XP, Vista, W7 and W8.1 with a touch screen we now have an Android tablet and an iPad to cover all operating systems.

We encourage the members to do presentations on subjects they enjoy, we also invite persons of interest that are not members to do presentations at the meeting to further our knowledge. After the meeting is closed we enjoy supper and bonding where everyone catches up and shares.
If you have a computer and would like to join us, come along to our meeting you will be most welcome. .
